Presentation and conversation with UW-Madison’s Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, Binnu Palta Hill. The inclusive leadership model emphasizes a transition from traditional leadership behaviors to more authentic ones. Vulnerability and curiosity play a large role and these are traits that were once seen as ‘weak,’ often causing female leaders to be judged negatively. Now research shows that these are essential leadership traits and organizations have to train their leaders to embody them.
